The stone tile wall did not turn out as expected. The uneven tones were too distracting for the overall look of the room.
Our solution- to paint over the whole thing. Step one- prime everything.
Step 2-create a finish similar to the stone but with a more cohesive strie and color pattern.
Mid-application.
This beautiful paper screen had unfortunately been damaged in the move. Luckily we were able to repair it.
We repaired the paper damage by creating custom matched pieces and applying it to the screen.
We also retouched much of the color work on the original.
Home and Design Magazine captured this beautiful shot of the finished room designed by Barbara Hawthorne Interiors.
LMI Studios Inc. was thrilled to work with one of area's top designers Barbara Hawthorn Interiors Ltd. on a wonderful residential project.  We were tasked with repairing a vintage paper Japanese screen and fauxing over a natural stone tiled fireplace wall. The result was beautiful. For final pictures and to read the story about this wonderful home click here: Home and Design Magazine.
